Scientific-creative laboratory of the composition of modern forms of dance

Performance “Hair” is a series of monotone disparate visual pictures composed as a collage. Monotonous course, as well as lack of rhythmical dynamics were chosen consciously aiming to create the feeling of certain motionless, tension, impatience and sometimes even unbearable perception, the same as unbearable coexistence of artists in acting space.

Long, clotted hair appear in this work as an image of a certain quantitive subjective timing. This is some kind of portion of the past which we tend to bring back into present, some noise, confusion, habits preventing us from looking into new situations. At the same time – the absence of hair at our head can be a symbol of some sort of clear perception, zeroing out, readiness to new experience.

The object (goal of research) of this work was to transform personal experience into artistic utterance using the methods investigated at Master’s thesis.
